NACMA aims to assist its members with education and personal developemnt activities to assist in their daily business activities. This may be done through NACMA seminars or by alerting members other courses that may be of value. Accredited trainingNACMA offers the Australian grain industry, nationally accredited training specifically focussed on the commercial aspects of the Australian grain industry.All courses have been developed to competency standards recognised by the Australian National Training Information Service, the peak educational authority for vocational training. Recognition of Prior LearningCurrent industry personnel who wish to satisfy the assessment for any of the subjects leading to the Professional Certificate are able to sit for the assessment without attending the workshops. Recognition of other courses If you have completed training of a similar nature to any of the NACMA core subjects you may be able to obtain credit for the course if you wish to attain the Professional Certificate in Grain Marketing. Please contact NACMA for further information. AssessmentAssessment is offered on all core subjects and is designed to replicate workplace conditions. There will be a mix of assignments and practical assessments that are designed to test a candidates ability to conduct the activities in a work environment. All assessments will be open book. Cancellation PolicyNACMA will only conduct courses if minimum numbers are obtained. Therefore, refunds will only be granted where the cancellation occurs at least 14 days prior to the event. NACMA Core SubjectsThe following subjects can be undertaken in both an assessed or non-assessed capacity. Course participants who wish to achieve the Professional Certificate will need to undergo assessment for each of the subjects. 1 NACMA Trade Rules and Dispute ResolutionThis popular course will now be offered in a one day format for experienced grain traders and two days for newer industry participants such as graduates, traders assistants or back office staff who wish to gain a better perspective of the total trading picture. 2 NACMA Grain StandardsThis subject is focused on participants attaining a total understanding of the NACMA Grains Standards, including: · how they are derived · reading standards and implications to grain trading · being able to assess grain for receival purposes
3 Grain Commodity TradingUnderstanding the interaction of cash values with futures, foreign exchange and basis is fundamental to being able to trade grain profitably. The various products available to the market and their appropriate use are all aspects of grain commodity trading that will be covered in this subject.
